Hubert Sagnières
Discover, explore, share - such could be the motto of Hubert Sagnières!
A seasoned traveler, he first journeyed with his family through the islands of the South Pacific, following in the footsteps of Bougainville and La Perouse.
In 1991, as the head of a major French industrial group, he moved to Canada with his wife and children, became enthralled with the Great North, and embarked on over twenty polar expeditions in the Canadian Arctic. In recent years, from the Dayak tribes of Borneo to the Mentawai people of Siberut Island, his thirst for encounters and discoveries has led him to the most remote islands of the Indonesian archipelago.
This passion for travel and adventure has driven Hubert Sagnières to immerse himself in the accounts of the great explorers of past centuries and assemble this exceptional collection of ancient exploration books.
He continues tirelessly to crisscross the world, discovering all these ports of call that have become mythical places over the centuries.
